Best management practices for water quality animation featuring Robocow

The farm animals had been waiting for this day.
With each passing moment of straining their drinking water through their teeth, ingesting harmful contaminants, their hearts longed for someone to deliver them from their suffering. Now, at long last, a hero has appeared on the horizon. Who could this bovine champion be?
None other than Robocow - (the cartoon character who identifies and corrects poor water management practice).

Robocow does a safety scan on the landscape and identifies various problem areas such as drifting pesticide contamination of water supplies, improper storage of farm chemicals, etc. She corrects them with her super powers.

Safety Scan:
Improperly stored pesticides and fertilizers; leaching to ground water detected;
Robocow Initiating clean-up procedure:
Robocow seals the compound with concrete floor installed
Mission accomplished

Problem detected:
Livestock watering directly from surface water; streambank damage detected; excess algal growth detected; downstream water quality affected.
Robocow Initiating clean-up procedure:
Taking immediate action, remote watering system for livestock installed.
Mission accomplished.

Problem detected:
Sprayed pesticides contaminating surface water; The wind speed at 45 km. spray drifting into surface water detected.Robocow Initiating clean-up procedure:
Buffer strips between field and water created; new nozzles installed on spraying equipment and farmers advised to spray during calm conditions.

Problem detected:
Soil runoff collecting in surface water, fertilizer, pesticides and manure contamination detected.
Initiating terrain improvement procedure:
Planting shelterbelts to reduce wind erosion, tillage contoured to hills and grass is planted on the waterways to trap eroding soil.

No further contamination detected in this area.
Mission accomplished.

Her job finished now, Robocow flew off again to parts unknown. The farm animals could now drink their water without fear of contamination. They were sad to see her go, but at the same time relieved that she was no longer needed. Perhaps RoboCow would return someday but that would be up to Farmer Jones.
